More insight into TweetFeel

new-logo

Mashable’s Adam Ostrow blogs about TweetFeel and gives us more insight into this new powerful tool…

TweetFeel is a new Twitter search tool along the same lines, but instead of showing one or the other, gives you a numerical score as to how positive or negative tweets are about a given topic. Its analysis is based not just on emoticons, but also words and phrases.

For example, search for “Entourage,” which had its season premiere last night, and you’ll see that the current sentiment is 82 percent positive. Meanwhile, the weekend’s top grossing film, Bruno, currently has sentiment hanging around 60 percent positive. There do appear to be a number of false positives however – for example, one user writes “I hate Borat, why would I like Bruno?” and Tweetfeel defines that as a positive attitude (defined by green text, as opposed to red).”

Already thought Twitter was perfect for businesses in helping them grow their brand, while providing superb cost effective customer service!   However, with TweetFeel: businesses can get a percentage of positive or negative comments about them from Twitterverse (the Twitter universe)!!!

With the new TweetFeel, businesses can type their name in the search box and calculate the ratio of positive to negative comments or tweets about them from Twitter users.

This new tool will allow businesses to track positive vs. negative comments about their business, giving businesses a clear indication of their current success or need for improvement.

With businesses tracking their positive and negative comments on Twitter, it allows businesses to be proactive when negative comments begin to dominant the conversation.  With TweetFeel businesses can effectively control the conversation because they are an authentic participant, knowing what people are actually saying about them!!!

Below shows the ratio of positive to negative comments about the new Harry Potter movie (doing well: 80% positive):
